In July 2018 Torbay Council was awarded accreditation by the White Ribbon Campaign to become part of the national campaign which aims to end male violence towards women and girls.

The campaign encourages men and boys to be instrumental in changing attitudes towards gender based violence and to create a culture where abuse, violence and harrassment against women and girls is unacceptable.

In order to gain accreditation, an organisation must have Ambassadors who will actively support and promote the campaign and a local action plan of activity.
